People sometimes have dental problems that may need to be dealt with immediately. If this is the case with you, you should see us right away so we can help you with your dental trauma.
Dental trauma includes emergencies such as a knocked-out tooth, fever with a toothache, and sometimes even a loose tooth or chipped and broken tooth. Whatever the trauma is, see us right away so we can help you. Here are some things you can do when facing dental trauma.
See Your Dentist Right Away
Visiting us during a dental emergency will be beneficial to you because if you are experiencing pain, we can reduce that pain or get rid of it altogether. Do not wait even one day when dealing with a dental trauma because it can lead to infection which can then make you sick.
Go to the Emergency Room
If for some reason, you cannot get to us immediately and are dealing with a dental trauma, you should go to the emergency room. The doctor's there can help you almost as fast as we can and nearly as good. They can at least give you antibiotics to keep the infection away until you can get to see us.
Take Over-the-Counter Pain Relievers
If you have any dental pain, try something that you can buy over-the-counter to ease it until you can get into see us.
If you are trying aspirin for pain, swallow it to help with it but do not place it directly on the tooth or gum area. By doing this, you can make the pain you are having much worse because it will cause a chemical burn.
