Why Teeth are Not Straight
There are many reasons why your teeth are not straight. Hereditary and bad habits can lead to crooked teeth. Crowded teeth due to the teeth being too big or the jaw being too small can lead to them not being straight. Teeth that are missing can cause the other teeth to become misaligned. Bad habits such as thumb sucking are a common reason people end up with crooked teeth.
The Importance of Straight Teeth
Straight teeth are important for a variety of reasons. For many, the most important impact of teeth that are not straight is their appearance. People with teeth that are not straight may find it hard to smile and it can affect them emotionally.
While appearance is an important reason for straight teeth, there are other oral health issues associated with it. This is often because they are not able to brush their teeth effectively due to gaps or teeth that are too close to each other.
