|If you have one tooth that is more discolored than the others, it might be time to consider seeing a specialist regarding the care of that tooth.
There are a couple of reasons why this might be. Knowing more about the reason can give you an idea of why your tooth might be discolored.
Staining on Teeth
Usually this occurs because the tooth is seriously stained and it requires the use of a product to clean it up and then it would be the same as the others. This usually is because the person smokes, drinks or eats more on that side with that tooth. By having the tooth and the rest of the mouth whitened, you can have a smile that matches once again.
If the tooth is dead, then it is going to be a different color than the rest of the teeth in the mouth. This is something that has to be done with.
If the tooth has not been dead for very long then the roots of the tooth can be removed through a root canal and then the tooth can be crowned and saved. If the tooth is too far gone then it might have to be removed. However, removing the tooth is never taken very lightly.
Dead teeth are something that can cause extreme pain and usually when the tooth is discolored and pain comes with it, it is time to speak with a dentist about what can be done.
