In dentistry as in life, we are always presented with opportunities to change. In past years when a patient wanted to have their teeth whitened in the office a special light was required. Not any longer! We now offer the Boost in-office whitening system as a way to speed up your whitening results.
There are some advantages to this system over prior systems besides not having to sit in front of a light. One hour is still the necessary time for optimum results. However, we can now use 38% hydrogen peroxide. This is a neutral pH and contains 20% water for decreased tooth sensitivity. The Boost System also contains potassium nitrate to reduce sensitivity (the active ingredient in Sensodyne toothpaste).
