Keep Water Nearby

Use Baking Soda, Too, If You Have It
The better option than just rinsing with water, is rinsing with a little baking soda and water. You don't need much, but the basic property of the baking soda will help to start neutralizing the acids left behind on contact. This can significantly reduce how much damage is being done to your teeth. If you regularly throw up, such as in the cases of pregnancy or chemotherapy, keep a box of baking soda in the bathroom and use it after each time you throw up.
